We are currently seeking an Environmental Services / Housekeeping team member for a Part Time, Afternoon shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Implement housekeeping procedures to meet residents’ need
• Notify leadership when you are in need of supplies or equipment/facilities are in need of repair
• Operate in a safe & efficient manner
• Communicate clearly.

Physical Demands 

• Standing and walking up to 8 hours
• Pushing, pulling & lifting up to 40 pounds
• Bend & crouch regularly

We are in search of a FULL TIME ACTIVITIES AIDE / CNA responsible for assisting with the implementation of activity programs that enrich the life of our residents.

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in the development of an individualized and group activities based on resident needs.
• Review, follow and provide resident care in accordance with care plans
• Complete documentation as required
• Maintain confidentiality of residents
• Implement reality orientation programs
• Work cooperatively with residents, peers, nurses, physicians & families to assure the best care for our residents.
•  Transportation of residents to and from appointments.
•  Other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:

• The ability to work in a Long-Term Care facility as required by regulations
• GED or equivalent preferred
•  Current Michigan Certification for Nursing Assistants (CNA) or in process of becoming a CNA with no current active investigations or findings against the certificate
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License, with a clean driving record which does not prohibit being covered by corporate insurance carrier.

Schedule:

• 12p – 8:30pm
• Every other weekend
• Three holidays per year
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Handling stock
• Preparing and serving food
• Setting up trays and food service carts accurately and timely
• Assisting in preparing food
• Document and maintain dietary logs
• Other duties as assigned

High school diploma/GED required or in the process of obtaining.

Prior dietary experience is preferred.

• 2nd Shift (Afternoon)    2p-10:30p     
• 3rd Shift (Night)             10p-6:30a

Type of Work:

• Full-Time: 32+ Hours / week
• Part-Time: <32 Hours / week

Hourly Pay:              $14.40 - $16.40 / hour based on years of experience as a Certified Nurse Aide.

Discretionary Sign-on Bonus is available for FT ($1,000) and PT ($500) State Certified CNA. (Sponsorship candidates not eligible).

Purpose of this position

The purpose of this position is to provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.
